Every purchase helps support the global nonprofit National Geographic Society in its work to protect and illuminate our world through exploration, research, and education. Your kids will have hours of fun as they explore the fizzy and bubbly reactions they create, just like a real scientist in a lab! Build and erupt a volcano, create a geyser, launch a rocket, and cause some awesome chemical reactions! Each of the 100+ experiments is easy to conduct and tons of fun! Informational materials in this kit include a detailed, subject-specific learning guide along with instructions that put scientific principles into practice. These informational materials have been developed to provide kids with interesting and engaging scientific facts, as well as to deepen their understanding of fundamental scientific principles. They give kids the tools they need to experience and better understand these principles through fun, hands-on educational activities. Additionally, these informational materials encourage further investigation into the broad variety of STEM fields and serve to inspire the next generation of scientists, researchers, and explorers. To help communicate information and educate, the format of these STEAM-accredited informational materials includes an experiment guide and all the necessary devices and materials to complete the variety of scientific experiments and activities contained within. The experiment guide provides an overview of important elements of the scientific method and how these elements may be implemented in the chemistry experiments contained within. Each experiment has step-by-step instructions and educational content that explains pertinent scientific principles, ranging from descriptions of the pH scale to explanations of rocket propulsion. An additional activity booklet within the kit offers further educational engagement with bonus experiments that use common household items. We make the highest quality hands-on science toys, and all products are backed by exceptional service. With a mission to inspire people to care about the planet, the National Geographic Society is one of the world’s largest nonprofit scientific and educational organizations.
